Fresh Claims for Protection
If your asylum or human rights claim has been refused, and you have been through an unsuccessful appeal to the Tribunal, you may be considering a fresh claim. Legally, this is difficult and time consuming work, but Latitude Law’s experienced lawyers can guide you through the process and give you the best chance of achieving a positive outcome.
We will conduct a thorough review of your case so far; identify what went wrong, and what we can do to put things right. We will talk to you about potential sources of new evidence, both in your own country and the UK. We can identify and work alongside recognised expert witnesses who can assess your account, and documents you may have, and support your fresh claim.
The vast majority of fresh claims are rejected as invalid by the UK Border Agency; from October 2011 your remedy against that decision is likely to lie with the Judicial Review function of the Upper Tribunal. We at Latitude Law put together fresh claims with JR in mind; we do our utmost to submit an application which we believe can be defended in the Tribunal if it is rejected by the Secretary of State.
