Gary McIndoe
Qualified as a Solicitor: 2000
Accredited by the SRA in Immigration LawGary was born in Manchester and returned to live in the city in 1995 after working and studying in London, then travelling and working around many countries, including Brazil, New Zealand, Indonesia, Israel, Burma and India. Gary trained as a solicitor at David Gray and Company in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, then came back to Manchester to join Thornhill Ince, where he worked until 2002, following which he was appointed Director of the Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit, a not-for-profit legal advice agency. In 2004, he left to become immigration supervisor at Robert Lizar Solicitor in Moss Side, where he worked until forming Latitude Law in December 2007. Gary is a Trustee for RAPAR and the Electronic Immigration Network and sits on the Strategy Group for Manchester's Refugee and Migrant Forum. In 2011 he was appointed a part time Immigration Judge of the First Tier Tribunal.

Shara Pledger
Before joining Latitude Law in April 2010, Shara worked for Eversheds, with whom she also volunteered as a legal advisor for a pro-bono asylum project in Leeds. She has completed a law degree and the Bar Vocational Course, and has long-term career aspirations to practise as a barrister. Shara is an accredited level 2 immigration case worker, and has gained considerable expertise handling sponsor licensing applications for employers. She undertakes regular advocacy in the First Tier Tribunal.

Gemma Wylie
Gemma has been with Latitude Law since it formed in 2007; before that she worked alongside other founder members of the firm at Robert Lizar Solicitors. She joined the casework team in early 2011, and is training towards fellowship of the Institute of Legal Executives. Gemma has particular expertise in representing domestic workers, and in preparing nationality applications on behalf of clients.

Ed Mynott
Ed has a doctorate in social history from Manchester University, and previously worked as a researcher and lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University and Leeds University. He came to the firm in August 2011, from the Immigration Advisory Service, where he qualified as a level 3 (advanced) caseworker in 2010. He has worked on numerous high-profile cases, and has developed expertise in preparing and presenting appeals before the Upper Tribunal. Ed led the delivery of training for IAS in the North West, and has a particular interest in EU citizenship rights and refugee law.

Alex Wright
Alex joined Latitude Law in July 2011. He completed his LPC at the College of Law and his LLB at the University of Birmingham. He is studying for his Masters in Law at Manchester Metropolitan University and currently writing his dissertation on the rights of free movement for same-sex couples within the EU. He has previously volunteered with the Personal Support Unit at the Manchester Civil Justice Centre.
